From the reviews
This studio is amazing. My two children have thrived under the caring instructors. My kids love their classes. As a parent I am thrilled about the focus being more on the student as a whole. In class, in school, and at home students are encouraged to have respect for their parents, teachers, and elders.
I can't say good enough things about BMA and Master Reymoore. My 9 yo son has been attending now about 6 months. He has grown so much in that little time. Not only is he growing in confidence, he is also getting stronger, more flexible, and faster.
Not just incredible instructors, but they are also incredible people. Two of my daughters have done the class as teens (my oldest just got her blackbelt at 19) and my wife and I started in our mid 40s in the adult class, and across all age groups they are so good at pushing you and encouraging you.
It is definitely a place where children are taught in martial arts, respect, obedience, trust and discipline as well as having fun. They are a super team! always positive and encouraging. Thank you!!!
Your first taekwondo class at Beyond Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
