From the reviews
My daughter has been attending this school for almost 4 months and we have seen incredible growth. She had previously attended another popular Tae Kwon Do school and has learned more at Grand Master Park's in one month than she had in four months at the previous school!
I have 2 siblings in Grand Master Park TWD and I I'm glad to say it was the best decision we could have made. My brothers have learn how to communicate with each other and stay focus on what they need to do and most importantly discipline.
I've been at this school for over 6 years now. It's the best place in Indy to learn traditional Taekwondo. No other school teaches as many of the original forms, because not many other teachers have experience with so many of the original forms. This is a great place for a child to start in Taekwondo.
I earned my black belt under GM Park in 2000 after being referred to him by other trusted instructors. I find GM Park to run a disciplined, fair, and safe martial arts school. I highly recommend his school to anyone looking for a well disciplined martial arts school in which to train.
Your first taekwondo class at Grandmaster Park's Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
