Our entire family attends KC Chung for Taekwondo. Master Tom and Miss Laura are simply amazing. They care about their students, no matter whether they are 3 years old or 70 years. We trust them with our children and could not ask for a better place to engage in activities with our children.
Been going here for a little more than 3 years and I can't explain how much I love it. All the people are super friendly and you really do feel like family when you go here. The higher ranked students all pitch in to help out the lower ranked ones and the Grand Master IS FANTASTIC!
Tae Kwon Do is a great way to get in shape! Master Russotto is an excellent teacher. He is all willing to work with his students to make sure that they excel. Many of his students participate in tournaments and have even made 3rd in the nation! The fact that this business is family run really adds a person touch.
My daughter loves taking classes here, and spending her summers at the summer camp too. She's been coming here for 2 years now and she is almost a deputy black belt. Everyone here is amazing! The stuart location is great too!
Your first taekwondo class at KC Chung Tae Kwon Do
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
