Kil’s Taekwondo is the best! I first came into taekwondo because my parents forced me to go since I didn’t do any sports. I didn’t really like it at first because I actually had to WORK and put EFFORT into something, but over time, I grew to like taekwondo a lot and it had gotten me into sports and martial arts.
This is by far the best Taekwondo studio to exist! I received my first degree black belt and then moved to Arizona where I went to other studios. They were alright but once I moved back to Michigan and came to Kil's Taekwondo studio again I felt at home! This is an old picture but thought I would leave a review!
I've gone to Kil's Taekwondo for the past 5 years and I have truly enjoyed my time here. Aside from learning martial arts, which is fun already, It is a great way to stay in shape and active. The masters at Kil's Taekwondo are truly some of the nicest people I have ever met and it has been a great experience for me.
It is a great place to stretch learn defense and kicking along with excercising.

Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
