From the reviews
This place was amazing to train at, I’ve probably made some of the fondest memories here. When I first came here I was a shy and awkward person, my confidence had skyrocketed and I found out my passion for martial arts, this place truly makes me feel happy and I will hold it dear to my heart.
I have two kids enrolled and it’s been about 5 months and I’m so proud of them. They are more self confident and disciplined now. They are more aware of being of service for others and they are so filled with pride after class.
We joined the Brighton location when it first opened and they were in their temporary space. Feels great being a founding member and all the instructors are wonderful especially Ms. Alison! My daughter os learning so much each week and martial arts has been great for her confidence, self advocacy skills, and core work.
We are a primarily a traveling family and when we moved to the area we tried searches the area to find a facility and program for our son to continue his training. We originally started another local dojo and it wasn't a good fit for our family. We found Premier Martial Arts and they welcomed us into their family.
Your first taekwondo class at Premier Martial Arts Brighton
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
