From the reviews
Excellent place to learn for both children and adults. Master Ippen is patient and gentle with the young ones, firm and disciplined with all, while making the classes fun. Highly recommend!
This is the only school in the Honolulu area that offers not only the most classes per week but also at the most affordable price. No attendance restrictions or nonsense contracts. The training is proficient, and the instructor's skill and knowledge for the art evident.
My name is chun yu ng . I come from Hong Kong but now I live in Honolulu, USA. I remember Hong kong high school is the jockey club eduyoung college in year of 1999 to 2002 from F1 to F3. My USA high school is Moanolulua High school in year of 2003 to 2007.
Outstanding School. Teachers are very attentive and take care of each student. Lessons and classes are taught nearly every day of the week with occasional beach classes. I recommend this school for anyone that wants a school that is serious about learning or practicing Tae Kwon Do.
Your first taekwondo class at Traditional Tae Kwon DO Center
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
