This center is one of the best Teakwondo centers, they offer transportation, fun activities and especially the camp activities are great. They offer basic pool classes, field trips and more. They are very responsible with the kids and I feel safe in my mind that my kids are at the center.
My son has had a wonderful experience taking classes here. Master Yoo is kind and patient to the students, and is a great teacher. My son is learning life skills though Tae Kwon Do and I have watched his confidence in himself grow. I would highly recommend US Tae Kwon Do Center.
Amazing people that I trust with my children. My daughters have been here since they were 5 years old and they love it. All the people love and care for them, they have fun and take trips. They teach the kids discipline and create a space where they can be themselves.
The U.S. Tae Kwon Do center in Wilbraham is amazing. Master Yoo does a awesome job teaching the students and helping them grow their confidence. My son has been going for close to one year now and has been loving it. He has made many new friends and found a love in doing martial arts!
Your first taekwondo class at U.S. Tae Kwon Do Center
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
