From the reviews
My son is an 11 year old high level competitor in jiujitsu . Last year he was ranked #1 in the world throughout the whole year , placing 1st at nationals and 2nd at Pan ams. We live in Chicago and we have been traveling 2 hours every Friday just to be able to train with professor Braulio .
We absolutely love Corral’s Martial Arts! My son has been training in jiu-jitsu here for the past 3 years, and the progress he has made is amazing. He has learned so much—not just jiu-jitsu techniques, but also confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance.
My son started training at Corral's Martial Arts several years ago. I would highly recommend everything about CMA -- the highly trained instructors who are committed to their students, the clean facilities, the friendly (I would really say family) atmosphere.
After more than 20 years of jiujitsu training, 8.5 as a black belt I moved from Chicago to NW Indiana. When I started training at Team Corral I was blown away by the quality of the technical instruction, as well as the warm and welcoming family atmosphere in the gym.
Your first taekwondo class at Corral's Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
