From the reviews
Grand master Lee and his staff are really professional and at the same time friendly with kids, it shows up in their work that they love what they do, each and every one of the instructors.
Training with the best! Our six year old son loves working with the instructors and the class. It is well worth the hour drive we make once to twice a week! As parents we love the flexibility. If we can’t make it to the dojang they also offer zoom classes and that is wonderful because he doesn’t have to miss out.
I came here from Pennsylvania and the discipline and professionalism are top notch. On top of that the staff and Grandmaster Lee himself are/were all nationally and internationally experienced which helps me trust the staff a lot more.
Simply the best school around, my son has been at the WTA in Maple Grove for more than 7 years and couldn't be more happier with everything and all that the school offers. Grandmaster Lee is one of the best instructors/coaches in the country and the after school care is top notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Your first taekwondo class at Grandmaster Lee's World Taekwondo Academy
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
