From the reviews
My son started training here about a year and a half ago. He loves learning Taekwondo from amazing coaches and teachers. I was so impressed with the professional and supportive environment, that I also started to train here. Everyone is so kind and truly wants each student to improve.
J.K. Lee's Black Belt Academy is a supportive community where you meet life long friends. This organization focuses on instilling the values respect, discipline, and confidence. I started martial arts with them when I was 7, and am a 26 year old 4th degree black belt now. Without J.K.
40+ years with 6 locations. My son has been a student since he was 5 years old and as of 11 years old he is a cho dan (black belt) on his way for his second international taekwondo competition in Colorado Springs.
My 2 daughters love to come to classes. It help us a lot with discipline, respect and obviously the lots of energy that kids have. Teachers are very professional and helpful. My daughters love specially Miss. Frank and Miss. Lee. Highly recommended this place :)
Your first taekwondo class at J.K. Lee's Black Belt Academy - Waukesha
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
