We enrolled our son in Jr TKD school several weeks ago, and we have already begun to see the results from his training. This school is run day to day by several instructors, under the watchful eye of Master Taylor, who has been involved in martial arts since he was 6 years old.
My 8 year old daughter is a special needs child with autism aand has adhd. She and I have been going to Saturday classes there since the beginning of March of 2016. They have been very accepting to what she has and they take the time to teach her 1 on 1.
My 6 year old son started a few weeks ago. Ive already seen improvement in his behavior and respect for adults. Hes starting to show more confidence and is finally getting the right kind of attention from other children.
I have noticed a huge difference in my daughter since she started. Respect for others, her self confidence, an better listening skills. The instructors are top notch. Would recommend every child to go here.
Your first taekwondo class at Junior Tae Kwon Do School
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
