From the reviews
Yes. In terms of tae kwon do its great just like everyone else said. But i want to add something some people havent mentioned. Watching my 5 year old trying his best at something, makes my heart happy. I laugh 20 to 25 times a lesson. Sometimes because my boy is goofy. Sometimes because he faceplants.
Positive and encouraging environment, our child has memorized the schedule and is always enthusiastic about going. We love that respect and focus are core tenets of this dojang. After trials a several martial arts facilities, we have found our home here!
“Master Ko is an excellent teacher who is passionate and patient towards teaching Taekwando to children.” Especially in this COVID scenario he is taking online one-one and group sessions which are amazing! My son has improved a lot in terms of discipline, respect and following instructions.
Master Ko trains both body and mind. Their program will give the children the confidence, discipline, and obedience to their parents with their emphasis on core values. Adults can join and have a great workout and learn self-defense and self-care. They must have done something right to remain in business for so long! 😀
Your first taekwondo class at Ko's Taekwondo
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
