From the reviews
We have been here for several months. I have a 5 year old and 18 year old, both of whom absolutely love being a part of this Musool family. We have friends whose kids have attended for a long while, and my husband also learned taekwondo from Shelby 30 years ago. I would recommend this place to anyone.
If I could give more stars I would! I absolutely love this place! My son is so happy since moving to this martial arts school. Having the after school pick up has been extremely helpful. All of the instructors treat the kids with respect and you can see how they respond to all the positive reinforcement they get.
We have been at Musool since my youngest was in kindergarden. Now he is a black belt and in middle school. Shelby provides a safe and worry free environment for the kids. Afterschool, sping break and summer camp Musool is always there. Cant say enough about this place. Highly recommend!
Musool Academy provides excellent instruction in both Taekwondo and Hapkido in a fun and welcoming environment. My son, daughter and husband attend Musool Academy and train in both arts. At Musool Academy my kids are getting so much more than great martial arts training.
Your first taekwondo class at MuSool Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
