From the reviews
Used to go here as a kid back in 2005 till 2009. I'm 29 now and have learned lifelong skills. I haven't practiced in a while but I can still do my spinning hook kicks and full splits. The foundation you build as a child really does carry over into adulthood!
My 2 sons and myself are students of Park’s Martial Arts! Tae Kwon Do is a great family sport!
I joined because I was always inspired by martial artists and olympians as a kid. Joining Park's Martial arts was the best decision of my life. I was there from 6 years old to 19, and went all the way to 4th degree black belt and learned so much about fitness, discipline, and more as student and eventually instructor.
Master Park is a gem! He is very patient and kind. He does a fantastic job reigning in rambunctious children and he keeps them engaged for the entire class. He instills confidence and humility in all his students. His gentle but firm approach is highly effective. Our children (4 & 6 yo) absolutely adore him.
Your first taekwondo class at Park's Martial Arts Inc
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
