From the reviews
About 30 years ago I signed my son and I up for lesson with Robinsons Taekwondo. The thing I enjoyed most, outside of the excellent instruction, was the feeling of family. As things happen in life I got busy, my son grew up and moved away and I stopped my lessons.
At Robinson’s we had a very good experience. They are very productive, upbeat and positive. At robinson’s they focus on respect for others, and the material art itself, they have encouraged my son to be focused and disciplined. At robinson’s they are also very inclusive with neurodivergent people.
My son has been coming to Ms. D for a bit over a year now, and thanks to her he discovered an enthusiasm for Taekwondo that he never expected. She is incredibly patient with her students and makes classes fun but challenging. Being some of the first families in her new studio is an honor! Join us! It's fun!
Threw a bday party for my kids 5th & 6th birthdays what an Amazing time at Robinsons taekwondo. Ms.D & her daughter Christiana threw a great party while creating a fun environment for the kids I highly recommend it 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Your first taekwondo class at Robinson's Taekwondo - Natomas
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
