From the reviews
We are a martial arts family. My husband has been training since 1972. We wanted my son to be in a dojang setting with his peers, not only trained by his dad. We researched and visited 8 schools in the area. WOW Taekwondo was BY FAR the best Taekwondo school in the area. We have been here 4 years now.
My wife and I signed my 4 1/2 year old daughter up for a free trial class and were instantly impressed. My daughter is very strong willed and doesnt always follow directions. Master Flemming made class fun for all the children but is also an awesome teacher in explaining things and teaching respect and taekwondo.
WOW Taekwondo is an amazing place. We feel so blessed to be a part of this community. Master Fleming is truly one of a kind, and his staff is great. My 3 kids(ages 6, 6 and 8) love going!
I can't recommend this place enough! It's truly the real deal. The level of support and kindness they show to every kid who walks through their doors is incredible. Whether it's during classes, visits, or after-school programs, you can see that they genuinely care. The teaching methods here are amazing!
Your first taekwondo class at WOW Taekwondo
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
