From the reviews
Both my kids are students at Eagle Taekwondo. They have been there for several years. Our family loves that Eagle is family owned and operated. Both Master Kims are great along with their amazing instructors. The environment is very family like as they have fun events during the summer and holidays.
My 8-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son started training at Eagle Taekwondo this summer, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The entire team, from the masters to the instructors, is incredibly dedicated to each student’s growth.
We have been with Eagle Taekwondo - Durango for nearly 6 months now, and I could not recommend this dojang more! Everyone that walks through the door is treated with respect and kindness. We were looking for a school that would not only teach and reinforce proper technique but also allow for FUN!
I love it here. We have all 3 of our kids here. They just started when this location opened. It has only been 3 months, but I couldn’t be happier. They are all so kind and treat everyone as family. They work with the group and then do short individual lessons to work with each student at their belt level.
Your first taekwondo class at Eagle Taekwondo
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
