From the reviews
I feel very lucky to find this place for my son. He absolutely loves it. Instructors and owners are superb. My son has been in two different places before and hands down Impact team is the best. My son has special needs and has some challenges. Everybody: kids and instructors are very nice to him.
My son has been going to Impact Taekwondo for about a year now. He started out as a shy unconfident kid and it has been amazing to see what this school has done for his self esteem. They teach respect and confidence along with Taekwondo.
My daughters and I been students at Impact Taekwondo for close to six years. It has been an incredible experience for all of us. In addition to learning the fun taekwondo kicks and weapon forms, we have learned self defense and grown in confidence, self discipline and attitude.
My 6 year old daughter loves Taekwondo at Han Lee's in Highlands Ranch! She has been there for about 6 months and this is the first activity she has ever truly loved. Everyday she asks if she can go to practice. The staff is wonderful and truly teaches to each child's ability level.
Your first taekwondo class at Impact Taekwondo
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
