From the reviews

My son has been at the Windham site for a year now and it has been an amazing experience. Master S and Sensei Cassandra are amazing with the kids. No other sport or activity that my children have been involved in compares. They are fully committed to the kids, while they are in the class, at home and school.

I truly didn't want the hassle of another activity when we first signed up at PMA, but both my kids seemed really engaged so I caved, and I'm so glad I did. We love PMA so much. We started there about 6 months ago and just signed up for another year. Both of my kids love their classes and have learned a lot.

★★★★★ — Kat, Jun 2018

This school was the best decision I made for my son. The instructors are knowledgeable, talented, and wonderful with the kids. They are very understanding make u feel comfortable. They are honest and work with you and are very supportive. It's not just for kids either. There are classes for adults.

★★★★★ — Gina, Jun 2018

My son started at PMA two years ago at five years old. Master Shihan and Sensei Cassandra are great with the kids. Master Shihan incorporates safety talks into every class which I love because it reinforces what we try to instill in him at home.

Your first taekwondo class at Inspired Martial Arts Center

Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Taekwondo is a martial art and a contact sport. Ease in, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
