From the reviews
Next level martial arts is not just for young kids. My 17 year old takes Muay Thai classes and he LOVES going here 3 times a week. It says a lot about the instructors to get a teenager to look forward to all the classes. He is not only shown how to succeed on the mat, but off the mat as well.
My son started almost a year ago at next level (age 5). Right from the start we felt this class was going to be great for our son. The owner is very involved and professional. All the coaches have been great. They have a lot of patience and you can tell they really do enjoy teaching their young minds.
My 4 year old son is a new addition to Next Levels little ninjas class, and since joining, it has been such a positive experience for not only my son but myself as well. The environment is so positive, encouraging, and supportive. The coaches really care about each child individually and there are so many children.
Next Level Martial Arts is an amazing place. I decided to enroll my son who is 7 y/o to help build his confidence and to teach him new skills outside of video gaming. I made this decision in April of this year and he has shown immense growth in his character and in his training.
Your first taekwondo class at Next Level Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
