My son did his tryout and loved it !! I love how there were 2 masters in the class . They really helped my son and was so patient. We decided to enroll my son in 2 days a week. I highly recommend putting your kids in here. Master yang was very nice to us too. I'll update as the months go on .
We moved up here to Las Vegas 2.5 years ago and have been looking for a Kukkiwon Tae Kwon Do school. We finally found it here at OneTop Tae Kwon Do with Grand Master Yang. My son did great and he enjoyed his first day in class. My son is very excited to train with Grand Master Yang and his staff.
Did an one day trial and my son absolutely loved it! The two masters there were very patient and awesome with kids. I immediately signed up right after the first trial class today. They have a special promotion going on right now if you pay 3months in advance.
Master Yang was with us every step of the way in our TKD journey. He not only inspire an old timer like me, but my children as well to always try hard and be better than what we can be. All done remotely. My children and I won a few medals to prove it. Lol
Your first taekwondo class at OneTop Center World Taekwondo Kukkiwon
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
