From the reviews
Great, experienced instructors. Craig, David, Alexis, and Chris are all great. Nice, family run establishment. Very, reasonably priced. It costs me $40 less per month then our previous martial arts studio. My 7 yr old has 8 pack abs, I accredit it to the workout he gets at taekwondo works! :)
If you’re trying to get back into shape, trying to learn self defense, or a new outlet for all that energy, then this is the place for you! I tried a free adult class at taekwondo works one night, and that was all it took. I was hooked. Everyone is so kind, helpful, encouraging and empowering.
Taekwondo Works has been such an amazing experience for my son. He loves going, has grown more confident in so many different areas of life and it's been incredible to watch him learn, grow, and flourish. Craig, David, and Chris have been kind and patient with him and he looks forward to his classes each week.
Taekwondo Works is a great martial arts school. My son started out with traditional taekwondo quite a few years ago. He spent a couple years in the after school program as well. He’s also been competing in Olympic style sparring here for about 5 years now. He loves it!
Your first taekwondo class at Taekwondo Works: Aesir Mixed Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
