From the reviews
Taekwondo has made a noticeable difference in the children's behavior. The increased discipline, respect, and strength they've gained through the program have really benefited them. It's great to see how much they've embraced it! Great place for all kids …
I am thrilled to write this review for USTC Taekwondo, a place that has had a significant impact on my children's lives over the past two years. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we had found a special community that truly cares about its students.
My son started to attend this facility when we arrived back to Rhode Island from another state. As a single mother i didn't know what to do since everywhere i reached out was either super expensive or way to far out from our daily commute. Thankfully i found this place that is affordable and convenient.
I have nothing but AMAZING thing to say about this care facility. What started as a place for my daughter to do Tae kwondo ended being a place that was there to lend a hand with childcare in the most thorough way I've ever seen. You can drop off your child as early at 6:30am...they will drop them to school for you!!!..
Your first taekwondo class at US TAEKWONDO COMPLEX
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
