A great sport to build focus, respect and coordination. Master Kim and his team do an awesome job with the kids! Highly recommend.
We have had a positive experience with Yong-in. Coming out of the pandemic, we were looking for an activity for my son to transition back to in person learning and activities. Master Kim and his program helped my son grow in many areas, outside of just physical growth and strength.
We really love Yongin taekwondo. Master Kim brings a good balance of discipline and fun to the class. His black belts are amazing in the class as well. They have very good programs to teach kids discipline , respect , responsibility along with self defense.
My son has been attending Yong-In Martial Arts for about a year now and he loves the sport. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call.
