From the reviews
I could not recommend this more-if you are looking for a place to instill confidence, skills, friendship, discipline and have fun while doing it this is it. Master Mark and instructor Sarah are wonderful with the kids. Master Mark is so engaging, patient, kind and truly makes everyone feel like they belong.
Master Mark and his team goes above and beyond to include each child in the lessons and challenge the kids to do their best. My son has been with Master Mark for about 9months and loves it. He is constantly practicing his skills and cannot wait to show his teachers the things he learns.
I can't say enough about this school! Master Mark, Instructor Philip, and Instructor Sienna are amazing with their students. My daughter has high-functioning autism, and they continue to work with her, push her towards success, and build her confidence. They will not allow her to fail!
Master Park's Black Belt America has been an wonderful place for my 12 year old son to grow. He started 3 years ago on a "I will try it" attitude and now he is competing for his blackbelt. His journey with Master Mark by his side has been nothing but amazing.
Your first taekwondo class at Master Park's Black Belt America
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
