From the reviews
I wanted to update my review because it’s been a while since I started practicing here. It’s now been about 9 months since I started taekwondo here and I only have amazing things to say about the school! Master Jeon and Master Kim are very professional and truly care about their students.
The stars from the other reviewers are legit. My daughter's been coming here since the summer of 2025 and she really loves it. The instructors are so great with kids and I have seen a significant improvement in form from all the students not just from my kid. But don't confuse niceness with lack of structure.
My daughter has had an excellent experience at this school. They teach being your best self rather than comparing the kids to each other. The instructors are patient and attentive to the students. Master jeon is always available to talk with parents and responds quickly to messages.
We are loving our experience at Master Jeon's Taekwondo! My son is excited to go to each class and earn a stripe. The staff is polite, welcoming and knowledgable. Great way for children to release their energy while exercising and learning respect and discipline at the same time.
Your first taekwondo class at Master Jeon - U.S.Taekwondo School
Nervous about walking into a taekwondo school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, and kicks with a partner or on pads — not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: loose athletic wear you can move in (or a dobok if you have one); you'll train barefoot on the floor. What to bring: water and a positive attitude — many schools lend a loaner dobok for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll get your own dobok and belt, and sparring gear (mouthguard, headgear, and guards) once you begin sparring. Sparring eases in gradually, once your fundamentals and forms are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
